Banquet
We will hold a banquet as follows.
- Date & Time: January 29 (Thu) 2026, 18:00–20:30
- Venue: Cafeteria La Foret, the University of Osaka (カフェテリア らふぉれ 大阪大学内)
If you plan to join the banquet, please fill out this form by December 19 (Fri), 2025.
Access
Many speakers will stay at Senri Hankyu Hotel (千里阪急ホテル), which is adjacent to Senri-Chuo Station (千里中央駅) on Osaka Monorail (大阪モノレール) and on Kita-Osaka Kyuko Line (北大阪急行).
Access to Senri-Chuo Station (千里中央駅) from KIX(関西国際空港)
I will tell the 3 main options. (There are other ways as well.)
- Nankai Railway to Namba + subway
- From Kansai Airport Station, take the Nankai Railway(南海) to Namba(難波) (either the “Airport Express” or the limited express “Rapi:t”,about 40–45 minutes).
- At Namba, follow the signs to “Subway Midosuji Line”(御堂筋線). Take the subway towards Senri-Chuo(千里中央) and get off Senri-Chuo Station (about 30 minutes).
- JR train to Osaka(大阪) or Shin-Osaka(新大阪) + subway
- From Kansai Airport Station, take a JR train (for example, the limited express “Haruka”) to Osaka(大阪) or Shin-Osaka(新大阪) statin. (about 40–45 minutes if you take limited express)
- Follow the signs for “Subway Midosuji Line”(御堂筋線). Take the subway towards Senri-Chuo(千里中央) and get off Senri-Chuo Station (about 20-25 minutes).
- Airport Limousine Bus + monorail(モノレール)
- Take Airport Limousine Bus from KIX to Itami Airport (伊丹空港) at Terminal 1 (1st floor) of KIX (about 70 minutes)
- Follow the signs for “Osaka Monorail”(大阪モノレール) – Osaka-Airport Station” Take the Osaka Monorail in the direction of “Senri-Chuo”(千里中央). Senri-Chuo is just four stops away via the monorail
Notice that Japanese taxi is expensive. For example, it takes 25000 yen from KIX(関西国際空港) to Senri-Chuo Station (千里中央駅). So we recommend that you use train or bus.
Access to Senri Hankyu Hotel (千里阪急ホテル) from Senri-Chuo Station (千里中央駅).
Here is the direction from Senri-Chuo Station (千里中央駅) to Senri Hankyu Hotel (千里阪急ホテル) taken from the hotel’s webpage.
Access to conference venue from Senri-Chuo Station (千里中央駅).
Take “Osaka Monorail”(大阪モノレール) and get off Shibahara-Handai-mae Station (柴原阪大前駅). Shibahara-Handai-mae Station (柴原阪大前駅)i s just 2 stops away via the monorail from Senri-Chuo Station (千里中央駅).
Osaka University’s Toyonaka Campus (大阪大学 豊中キャンパス) is within a 8-minute walk from Osaka monorail’s Shibahara-Handai-mae Station (柴原阪大前駅). Here are the directions from “Shibahara-handai-mae” Station (monorail) to Nambu Yoichiro Hall (南部陽一郎ホール) Link to directions
Here is the campus map.
